What does the tour consist of?

Because of the numerous things to do and places to see as well as a pretty long distance (540 km in both directions), your trip from Mui Ne to My Tho, which is the capital of Tien Giang province, start in the early morning hours. The adventure begins at 4:30 AM when you’ll be picked up at your resort. During the trip, you’ll be able to get to know more about the incredible cultures of the local people living on the banks of Mekong river.

Once you arrive in My Tho,  the city established in the 17th century, the real excitement starts – you’ll have the chance of observing this beautiful region cruising by a boat and exploring the numerous islands. During the ride, you’ll be able to admire the most beautiful and the most famous four islands in the area, whose names originate from the four symbolic animals in Buddhism, are Long (Dragon Island), Lan (Unicorn Island), Quy (Turtle Island), and Phung (Phoenix Island).

Experience the local culture

The boat ride then continues, giving you a unique opportunity of moving through a maze of interesting canals and having fun at a local orchard where you may taste some of the most delicious tropical fruits, including orange, pomelo, rambutan, longan, jack fruits, and many others.

This experience is enriched by learning about the daily activities of local people, tasting the mouth-watering coconut candy, and enjoying the traditional folk music performance in an orchard garden. While you wander through the village, you’ll also be given a chance of learning about the local family businesses so don’t hesitate to check out how they make rice wine, crispy corn, brick, and other products.
