Beauties of Central Highlands you shouldn’t miss
If you are into ecotourism, Mang Den is the right place for you. Considered as the second mistiest town in Vietnam (after Da Lat) this resort town is located in Kon Plong District, Kon Tum Province. Its scenic landscape, including pine trees, natural lakes, and waterfalls, spiced up with the fresh breeze all year long is a real treat for the lovers of intact nature. It’s also a habitat for a large number of interesting floral species, including Fujian cypress, red pine trees, Aquilaria plant, and cinnamon. On the other hand, it is also home to animals such as chamois and python.
There’s probably no better place to experience the vividness of the local spirit in Central Highlands than Buon Ma Thuot Market, located in the capital of Dak Lak Province. The market also works at night. Besides getting in touch with local people, you’ll also have the awesome chance of buying local products and tasting local food. We recommend ordering Banh Trang Nuong, a street version of pizza, with vegetables, meat, and eggs, grilled on charcoal. At this market, you can also find some really great coffee, black pepper, and avocado.
If you find yourself in Dak Lak Province looking for some peace, don’t hesitate to visit Dak Mil Lake. The lovely scenery is ideal for taking a stroll and enjoying some relaxing moments without the crowds of tourists. In this area, you may also get a chance to get in touch with people from local hill tribes living near the lake.
Finally, if you want to have a real adventure in the area of Central Highlands, there’s another interesting destination in Dak Lak Province! Yok Don National Park is the place where you can take part in numerous entertaining activities in nature.
In the area of the park, you can wander observing numerous species of birds living there. On the other hand, if you don’t want to walk, you can have an exciting elephant ride through the lush forests of this protected area. Amusing, isn’t it?
