Mui Ne is known as the place in Vietnam that has the most favorable conditions for wind and water sports. This means that, averagely, in Mui Ne you can enjoy more than 200 days of wind over 12 knots. How many days of amazing wind you’ll be able to experience depends mostly on the season.
On the one hand, high season, which is also known as dry season, lasts from November to March and it’s ideal for kite-surfing. Although the regular wind intensity is 18 to 30 knots, this season can also bring you the wind of up to 40 knots. To make sure you’re ideally equipped for these conditions, make sure to bring a kite whose size is between 7 and 12 m.
On the other hand, low season lasting from April to October is a more peaceful part of the year. Not only are there fewer tourists, but the wind is also milder and more unpredictable. However, this season still can bring you some nice kite-surfing conditions. Just make sure to have a 9 to 14-meter kite in order to have a good experience.
